How to deal with crushes?

i have a crush on this boy in my class. i really like him, and i think he does too, because we keep giving each other brief eye contacts. the problem is, my friends hate him, coz he's kind of a geek but is cool on the other side. i can never tell my friends i like him, because that will just make things worse. they are always getting into arguments with him and i'm always the one in the middle. i don't know which one i should support bcoz i can never choose between friends and my crush. what do i do??How to deal with crushes?

id say go for the crush! yeh your friends might get mad for a little but if they are truly your friends than they will back you up anyway. friends will stay forever, crushes may not. dont lose out on this guy. if you think he is cool go for him. your friends cant determine who you like!!!
