My friend don't know how to deal with his crush! help me!?

my friend , hes a guy and he likes this girl . the problem is, he confessed to the girl to soon ! now, he said he don't know what else to do, he likes the girl so much that he kinda change a little bit. the girl haven't tell her decision yet, and she thought he was just joking around. he asked for my advice but, i just don't know what to tell rather than ';well, just be her best friend';. i know he wanted more advice. can u help me!!!My friend don't know how to deal with his crush! help me!?
Well I don't think someone should change because of someone else. We are who we are and nothing should change that. Tell him to give her some time maybe a week or two to let this information set in. Tell him to talk to her again after that and see what her decision is. The worst thing is they cannot be together but there is other fish's in the sea.My friend don't know how to deal with his crush! help me!?
